ESSENCE LONDON is a text-based artist from North Little Rock, Arkansas, living in Bloomington, Indiana. She holds an MFA in Fiction & has been supported with fellowships from Cave Canem, the National Book Critics Circle, Vermont Studio Center, & Athena Film Festival. As Publications Associate at the Black Film Center & Archive, she leads production on the newsletter, the zine, & the recurring dossier in Black Camera: An International Film Journal; she also assists with interviews & events. Her works-in-progress include a hybrid collection, a short story collection, a novel, a one-act play, & a board game.
